Up for auction is a Top of the Line 2011 Gary Fisher Superfly Elite 29er G2 Carbon Frame!  It is a Gary Fisher size Large or 19”, so check out their website for exact geometry details.  First off this frame can only be used as 1X10, 1X9, or as a single speed since the front derailleur direct mount was broken.  I bought this frame this way about 5 months ago and have ridden it for around 300 XC East Coast rooty/rocky miles, and I can personally attest that the frame is 100% structurally sound.  I ran this as a 1X10 setup with no chain guide or keeper in the front and didn’t drop the chain once!  The secret is to run a proper single speed chainring that is perfectly round and has no ramps on it.  Home Brew Components made the one I used and the guy makes top notch stuff.

Now with that out of the way, lets talk about how amazing this frame is!!!  It is now the benchmark for all other frames I use and it will be a tough one to ever beat!  So why am I selling it then you might ask?  Well, I’m in the bike business and have access to many bikes to ride and this causes me to want to switch bikes every few months…it’s a problem I know!  There is absolutely nothing wrong with the frame, other than the previous description of the front D mount, and it looks like a near new one as you can see.  This frame accelerates off road like a road bike as every ounce of energy is transferred into forward motion.  You will notice it on the first pedal stroke I kid you not!  This extreme stiffness comes from borrowed technology of the Tour proven Madone frame.  It has the ultra stiff BB90 bottom bracket and also the new E2 Headtube which uses a tapered 1.5”-1 1/8” headset.  It weighs in on my digital scales as pictured with the BB bearings installed at 3lbs 2oz!!!

As for the specs & EXTRAS…It will come with Enduro Ceramic Bottom Bracket Bearings already pressed into the frame.  It will also come with basically new Headset Bearings and complete headset assembly included the 1.5” crown race.  Not pictured but also included is a white Bontrager Race Lite water bottle cage.  Some other small details I added are the blue anodized water bottle bolts…its all in the details!  This frame requires a very rare G2 fork with a tapered steerer tube 1.5”-1 1/8” and I happen to have one in my other listings, so check it out.  Feel free to make me an offer on the frame, or both the frame and fork as a packaged deal!  But for sure, DO NOT MISS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN THIS FRAME!!!

2010 Gary Fisher Superfly Single Speed Frame and Fork

The Frame is brand new in the box but the fork has a season of use.

There is a minor blemish on the Fork noted in the picture but has no affect on the structural integrity.

The Fork has been modded to 100mm travel vs the original 80mm and can be easily converted back to 80mm by your local bike shop if you perfer 80mm.

This auction does not include the original stem or headset.

This is a superlight frame and the carbon dampens everything, it has an amazingly smooth ride.

Up For Sale is a “BRAND NEW” 2011 Trek Gary Fisher Collection Superfly Elite 29er Hard Tail Cross Country Carbon Fiber Mountain Bike. This is a very well care for 2010 Gary Fisher Superfly full carbon 29er with many upgrades. This is the last year with this beautiful color scheme, the new one will be labeled under Trek.

There is not a single scratch that I can find on the frame. Downtube has 3M tape since day one. But there are some minor cosmetic scratches on the fork ( I tried to take pic, but it won’t show).

is one of the most awesome bikes ever made (full carbon/full suspension 29er). It is a
blast to ride. I’m the original owner. I’m selling this because I
bought I new bike and this one gets ignored (Orbea Alma 29er). I only
put about 400 miles on it since I bought it last Feb (that is what
the computer reads). This is a steal for this price.

is stock except the saddle, handle bars, tires, and grips.

This 17.5″ Trek Gary Fisher Collection Superfly 100 Elite is in excellent condition – it’s been on one trail ride and three rides on pavement (less than 100 miles total). It was purchased from and built at The Bike Lane in Reston, Virginia in January 2011. There have been no modifications to the original build except the addition of new Crank Brothers Eggbeater 11 pedals and ODI Ruffian Lock-on grips. I bought it for my first pro season of cross-country racing for 2011, but just joined a road racing team and don’t want to keep a new, expensive mountain bike around that won’t be used.There is a scuff from my shoe on the drive-side crank arm, two very small cosmetic chips at the end of the crank arm, and a small scratch on the drive-side chainstay (all shown in the photos). The rest of the bike looks new.
